About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented FCL Europe Trade Manager, Asia to join our regional ocean team.
The successful candidate will manage ocean freight volume, gross profit (GP), carrier relationships, and pricing strategies for Full Container Load (FCL) shipments moving between Asia and Europe.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Trade Coverage: Europe
• Trade Strategy & Growth: Define and execute trade lane strategies for Far East-to-Europe and Mediterranean corridors to hit volume and profitability targets.
• Carrier Management: Build and manage relationships with core global and regional ocean carriers, overseas agents, vendors to secure competitive rates and reliable space allocations. Establish own consol of network.
• Pricing & Rate Support: Act as the primary escalation point for complex rate inquiries, manage tariffs, and support regional sales teams on RFQ, tenders and strategic customer projects. Provide visibility of FCL rates for analysis of pricing market trends in a timely manner.
• Performance Monitoring: Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) like volume growth, allocation adherence, and yield/profitability to adjust strategy dynamically.
• Contract Management: Manage all service contracts related to the responsible trades. Negotiate the best pricing, terms & conditions (e.g., drop-off, free time) with carriers and consolidators to ensure competitiveness and achieve company revenue and profit margin.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Align local country operations & customer service, pricing desks, global procurement and sales to ensure seamless execution.

Minimum requirements
Role requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or Business.
- 5+ years in ocean freight forwarding, carrier management, or trade lane procurement, specifically focused on the Asia-Europe corridor.
- Deep understanding of ocean freight contracts, FCL allocations, pricing dynamics, and market intelligence
- Strong commercial negotiation, stakeholder management, and analytical skills
