HSSE Junior Specialist

The HSSE Specialist is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Health, Safety, Security and Environmental (HSSE) programs at the national level. This role ensures alignment with the ADP Cluster’s strategic objectives and regulatory requirements, fostering a proactive safety culture across all operations.

The specialist will provide expert guidance, monitor compliance, and drive initiatives that protect people, assets, and the environment, while supporting operational excellence and sustainable business practices.


Key Responsibilities:


  • HSSE Policy Development and Implementation: Develop, implement, and monitor the company’s Health, Safety, Security and Environmental policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with Spanish legislation and EU regulations.
  • Risk Assessment and Inspections: Conduct risk assessments and workplace inspections to identify hazards, assess risks, and implement preventive measures.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory and local labor authorities.
  • Legislative Updates: Keep up to date with changes in HSSE legislation and best practices to ensure company compliance.
  • National HSSE Strategy: Define national HSSE strategy and ensure its implementation at each location.
  • Audit Participation and Recordkeeping: Contribute and assist in all HSSE audits and keep adequate records in coordination with Focal Points.
  • Branch Support: Support branches’ HSSE management systems in coordination with Focal Points.
  • Union and Committee Liaison: Act as the point of contact with Union Representatives and Safety Committees.
  • HSSE Reporting Tools and KPIs: Promote the use of HSSE reporting tools (software) and compliance with HSSE performance and KPI maintenance.
  • HSSE Training Programs: Design and deliver HSSE training programs for employees at all levels, including emergency response, first aid, ergonomics, and safe work practices.
  • Safety Culture Promotion: Promote a strong safety culture within the company by driving awareness campaigns, toolbox talks, and safety committees.

Requisitos mínimos


  • Bachelor's degree and a Master’s degree in Occupational Risk Prevention as per legal requirements (Spain).
  • Certifications in HSSE & Integrated Management Systems (ISO Standards).
  • Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience in HSSE management.
  • Fluent in English (preferable C1 or equivalent) and Spanish (spoken and written). Catalan a plus.
  • HSSE Spanish & EU regulatory framework.
  • Hands-on experience with HSSE management systems and hazard coordination platforms.
  • Proficiency in using digital platforms for storing and tracking HSSE documentary evidence.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience supporting audits and ensuring management systems are audit-ready.
  • Knowledge of audit processes and ability to organize documentation accordingly. Audit coordination and process review with branch focal points.
