About the Role

We are currently looking for a Senior Finance & Accounting Specialist based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, for our Maritime business area.

Noatum Maritime offers services in the areas of ship attendance, commercial representation, shipping agency, ship handling and ancillary services for shipping lines, cruise lines and vessel operators. As a Sr Finance & Accounting Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers receive the highest quality of support.


Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting: Prepare, review, analyze, and ensure accuracy of financial statements in compliance with internal policies and accounting standards.

• General Ledger Management: Maintain, reconcile, and oversee the integrity of the general ledger, ensuring proper classification and timely posting of all financial transactions.

• Accounts Payable Oversight: Invoice processing, validate supporting documentation, ensure correct coding, and guarantee timely and accurate vendor payments.

• Accounts Receivable & Collections: Follow-up on customer accounts, oversee billing accuracy, follow up on outstanding balances, negotiate payment arrangements, and reduce overdue receivables.

• Tax Compliance: Prepare, review, file, and support corporate tax declarations, VAT returns, and other statutory obligations, ensuring compliance with local regulations and audit readiness.

• Banking & Treasury: Monitor daily cash movements, perform bank reconciliations, manage liquidity, and support treasury planning and forecasting.

• Month-End Closing: Lead the month-end process by preparing journal entries, reconciling key accounts, reviewing variances, and delivering timely and accurate financial reports.

• Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies, propose enhancements, implement best practices, and support automation initiatives to strengthen financial operations.

• Audit Support: Coordinate internal and external audits, prepare required documentation, address inquiries, and ensure adherence to control frameworks.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams (HR, Operations, Procurement, Sales) to provide financial insights, support decision-making, and ensure alignment with company objectives.


Minimum requirements

To fit in this role, candidates should meet the following minimum requirements:

• Professional quilificación, ACCA, CA, CMA or Bachelor’s or Master degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce (preferred).

• Strong understanding of IFRS & Local compliance Regulations

• Proven 10 years of experience in accounting and finance such as Finalization, monthly closing, budgeting, AP, AR, Treasury, Tax (preferably in shipping agency business ).

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

• Advanced proficiency in financial tools and systems (e.g., Excel, ERP).

• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to thrive under pressure, high level of ownership, resilience, and ability to meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Must be adaptable and open to learning new processes and technologies.
