The Tramp Operator is responsible for the full coordination and execution of vessel calls worldwide applicable to all the different shipping segments, acting as the primary liaison between the principal, vessel, and LPA (Local Port Agents). This role ensures that all port services are delivered efficiently, in compliance with Noatum Maritime’s SOP´s and the Global Operation Center WI, and that all stakeholders are kept informed through accurate and timely reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enquiry and PDA Management: Process enquiry from the potential Principal, identify the type of enquiry, check for any key missing initial information and the scope of requested services.
- Receipt of the Appointment: Receive, process Principals appointments and complete OFAC check/screening on the vessel.
- Vessel Call Coordination: Manage all operational aspects of vessel calls, including Communications with vessel, Pre-Arrival Documents Management & Submittance, Vessels Arrival & Vessel in Port & Attendance, Vessels Completion & Vessel Departure and communication with stakeholders.
- Operational Reporting: Accurately record and report all call-related data using Noatum Maritime’s internal systems, ensuring transparency and traceability.
- KPI Compliance: Support the achievement of company-defined KPIs by maintaining high service standards and operational discipline.
- Prefunding Management: Ensure compliance with internal procedures for fund remittances and financial documentation related to each vessel call.
- Information Accuracy & Confidentiality: Maintain the highest standards of professionalism in all communications, ensuring that information shared is accurate, relevant, and confidential.
- Standardized Reporting: Follow Noatum Maritime’s unified reporting model to ensure consistency across all operations and ports.
- Service Quality Monitoring: Contribute to post-call evaluations to assess service quality and identify areas for improvement.

Requisitos mínimos
- Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Maritime Studies, Logistics, or a related field.
- Additional certifications in Port Agency, Maritime Law, or Shipping Operations are considered a plus.
- 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Fluent in Spanish and English (written and spoken).
- Familiarity with port management systems and reporting tools is desirable.
- Hands-on experience in coordinating vessel calls and port services.
- Knowledge of local port traffic, cargo types, and competitor activity to support commercial awareness.
- Ability to collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders (e.g., port authorities, customs).
- Effective communication skills.
- Problem Solving: Proactively identify issues and propose practical solutions to ensure smooth operations.
- Operational Planning: Capable of managing multiple vessels calls simultaneously with attention to detail and prioritization.
- Digital Proficiency: Comfortable using port systems, reporting tools, and digital platforms to support operational efficiency.
- Decision-Making & Escalation: Recognize when to escalate issues beyond scope and ensure timely communication with supervisors.
